One of my favourite parts of writing a thirteen-book series—especially this thirteen-book series—has been hearing what readers carried with them, clung to, questioned, loved, or occasionally sent me mildly alarming emails about.
I’ve kept a little folder over the years filled with notes, reviews, and messages that reminded me why I kept going… particularly on the days when Arthurian Britain stubbornly refused to cooperate (and there were many).
Here are a few treasures from that folder—your words, not mine:
“For some it’s the legend of King Arthur that excites them about this series but for me it’s a thoroughly engrossing, beautifully written novel that has authentic characters and historical facts of the time that enrich the story.”
“Tracy has the amazing ability of building her characters with such respect and tenderness that you have no other option than to love her [Guenivere].”
“I highly recommend the whole series and I enjoy revisiting characters common to the previous books in the series with the main characters of Camelot merely an interesting background.”
“I’ll actually be sorry to see this series comes to an end, which is the highest praise someone like me (an Arthurian hater) can offer.”
“I can’t wait for the next one.”
“War, political intrigues and conniving characters are usually something I avoid but author Tracy Cooper-Posey does a brilliant job of balancing these elements by putting the focus on two lives being tossed around by circumstances beyond their control.”
Every time I read something like this, it reminds me that this world didn’t just live in my head—it lived in yours, too. Some of you arrived because you love Arthurian legend. Some came for the romance. Some wandered in despite loudly proclaiming yourselves “Arthurian haters” (and then stayed, which I consider a personal victory).
And all of you helped make this journey feel shared, which is no small thing.

As we head toward the Kickstarter launch and the final book, Camlann, I’d genuinely love to hear your memories. A favourite moment? A character who won’t leave your brain? A scene that surprised you—or one that made you mutter unkind things at me across the room?
Tell me. I really do read every message.
