Did that title make you blink?
The root word for equinoctial is equinox…which is today. It is the vernal equinox, and from now on, the days will have more sunlight hours than night hours in them.
Which is kinda coincidental…but perhaps not.
The equinox and solstices play a role in my King Arthur series, Once and Future Hearts. People in the fifth century were far more attuned to the movement of the seasons and marked their passing in a number of ways.
Stonehenge, which plays a big role in the series, is in part, (and in actual historical fact) a calendar for measuring the coming and going of the seasons (which is why the sun appears through the major capstones at dawn on the summer solstice).

I also love the fact that her female characters are definitely not boring, whiny or TSTL.
