Smashwords 2014 Survey
The annual Smashwords survey is always greeted with some interest around the publishing world, but as a reader, you might also find this year’s interesting as Mark Coker tries to predict the shape of reading for the next year or so.
He’s not always right, but his predictions about the general direction of publishing are general on target.

The most prolific author you’ve NEVER heard of
I have more than a passing interest in prolificacy. The faster I learn how to write books, the more books I can release, and the more books I can cross off my “wanna write” list – a list that gets longer with each passing year.
But this guy burns my britches. Twenty-six books in 30 months!!

Life Without Plastic
Like the title says—a great resource for finding products that don’t contain plastic (which seems to be everywhere these days). If you choose to avoid all the toxins and chemicals that plastic imparts, this is a good place to start.
