A Volcano, A Revolution and A Romance

Love vampires, time travel and sexy menages? Have you delved into the Kiss Across Time series yet?

I recently finished Kiss Across Blades, which is where, finally, I got back to telling more about Neven’s, London’s and Remi’s story.

This time I ended up in historical territory I have been edging into across a few books and stories: Post-Revolution France. Or, to be technically correct, it is still Revolutionary France, even though the story takes place a little under a year before Napoleon takes power and calls himself emperor.

I’m much more familiar with pre-revolution France–I think most of us are, because it’s so glamorous–Versaille, powdered wigs, decadent shinanigens… And also, if you like really, really long stories, all of Alexander Dumas’ wonderful Three Musketeers tales.

However, my research into what happened in France after Louis lost his head was incredibly interesting. Things didn’t magically straighten up and fly right in France, once the King was deposed. No, not at all. It took a decade or more for them to get their collective crap together, and then Napoleon came along and upset everything all over again. In between, the poor, who thought things would be better, found they weren’t all that much better at all. They just didn’t have to pay taxes to the King anymore…

And in a related-but-not side note: I’ve been doing some research into volcanoes and volcanologists for a different book (Heart Strike, if you’re wondering), and found this tidbit: There is a theory that the major late eighteenth century eruption of the Icelandic volcano, Katla (one of the two biggest on that island, and the only one with a pronounceable name) sent so much dust and toxins into the global atmosphere that harvests were disrupted for years. The French peasants were so desperate as a result, they took their frustrations out on Louis and his peers, thus creating the French Revolution.

The French Revolution has been called by historians the most significant event in modern history. The Republic that was born as a result influenced the shaping of a dozen new nations around the globe, destabilized kingdoms and empires, rebuilt the global map and inspired politicians and futurists, including Trotsky, the father of the Russian Revolution, over a hundred years later.

It’s that unhappy landscape where I dump the three main characters.

Kiss Across Blades has been released everywhere, including my site.

The cost of saving his children is too high…

Since learning that time travel is real, Remi de Sauveterre has yearned to jump back two hundred years to revolutionary France to rescue his children the night they died. Only, the odds of creating a time paradox which will destroy everyone’s future are huge.

London would give Remi his heart’s desire if she only had the courage to attempt the dangerous jump back into his past, for she loves him and knows that refusing him will push him away from her and Neven.

Then she and Neven come across an alternative world where their son does not exist and, suddenly, the idea of risking everything to save their family seems worth it. Only, time travel always goes wrong…

Reader Advisory: This time travel ménage romance story features two super-hot alpha vampire heroes and sex scenes, including anal sex and MM sexual play. Do not read this book if frank sexual language and sex scenes offend you. The time-space continuum was restored to order at the end of this book. Promise.

A Vampire Time Travel Romance Novel
___

Praise for the Kiss Across Time series:

Cooper-Posey’s writing is always brilliant.

There’s something fascinating and cerebral about a “Kiss Across Time” story that’s more than your usual fantasy-time-travel-story.

Creative and Amazing!

I really love how original Tracy manages to be in a genre where everything seems to have been written.

I loved reading this rich, complex and interesting tapestry of interwoven lives and loves.

GOLD! More compulsive reading for the Kiss Across Time series!

Cooper-Posey is a master storyteller, but how she manages to create these elaborate interconnected storylines that flesh out character development is incredible.

I haven’t read a book in this series that I don’t like.

Starts out with a bang! Couldn’t put it down. It’s a whole lot of fun.
