Throughout the years I was working a day job while writing on the side, I was always an admin assistant. When I first started working, straight out of high school, I was a “female clerk”. (Oh, how times have changed!)
So, as I do every couple of years or so, I’m pausing to acknowledge all the support people out there, who often go unrecognized, alas.
I hope your boss does the same today!

Every boss I had ( not counting restaurant mgrs) had always taken all the secretaries/admin/receptionist/off mgrs out for at minimum a 2 HR lunch. They’d leave one of the mgrs in charge. Then on Bosses Day we’d take him.
