Here where I live (Alberta, Canada) it’s the summer solstice — as it is for the rest of the northern hemisphere.
For everyone who is south of the equator, it is the winter solstice.
In the pagan wheel of the year the summer solstice is the time of Litha and the winter solstice is that of Yule, but I suspect there isn’t too many Aussies snuggling up to a roaring hearth with a big tree trunk in it — or anyone from any of the other 74 countries and territories that lie partly or fully in the southern half of the globe.
Enjoy the sun, wherever you are.
