FBI Equality…39 years ago today.

Interesting but useless fact.  Today, 39 years ago, the FBI allowed the first female agents into their ranks, in 1972.

I thought that was surprising late in the equality drive, which was already talking about career supression for women (which later became known as the “glass ceiling”), so I thought I’d do a comparison of agencies — NSA, CIA, etc.  But they’re not saying when they first started recruiting female operatives, so it may have been far earlier…or later.

Life must have been very interesting for those first few career blazing female agents, though.
