What I’m Reading – July 15

If anyone dares mention “light summer reading” around me, I tend to boil.  However, if it is going to encourage reading at all, have at it.  It’s July.  Vacation time.

I’m working my ass off for the September releases, so a vacation is out of the question for me.  So is a lot of light reading at all.

On my devices right now:

folsomSamson’s Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1)Tina Folsom

Just starting this one.  Although I have to say…unlike a lot of fiction I’ve started lately (see below), this one is holding my attention.

Brian Tracy

I’m not sure I haven’t mentioned this one before.  This is reread #2, I think.  It’s a great book for when you’re massively over-committed and need to centre yourself.  (Not me at all right now.)

Medieval Underpants and Other Blunders – A Writer’s (& Editor’s) Guide to Keeping Historical Fiction Free of Common Anachronism, Errors & Myths
alleynSusanne Alleyn

It’s always nice to have someone point out the error of my ways.  <grin>

This is a nice book to prop up my research, although so far, I haven’t found too much I screw up, that Alleyn has pointed out.  But, expertise is a matter of refinement, so if I pick up even a couple of tiny hints, I’ll be better for it.

________

I really need some fiction!!!  I’ve started far too many books lately and barely got to the end of Chapter One.

So, got any recommendations?
