It’s a great read that will keep you in your toes and wanting to read more from the author.
Once again Ms. Cooper-Posey pulls the reader in immediately with her fast-paced romantic suspense.
No one is who they seem to be. No one at all…
When her lover and partner, Denis, dies in a random terrorist bombing, Quinn craves answers no one can give her.
An international businessman, Elijah Aslan, who says he once knew Denis well, seems to need the same answers. He alone understands Quinn’s pain.
Yet Aslan is not the simple businessman he appears to be. Flagged by the CIA, Aslan’s contact with Quinn sends up alarms and thrusts Quinn into the middle of an affair with unseen roots in Denis’ past, and with world-shaking consequences if Quinn doesn’t play her part perfectly…
This romantic thriller is the first book in the Project Kobra series.

Hunting The Cobra is an action packed booked that keeps keeps you guessing from the very beginning. It has lots of mystery, action, passion and you never know who to really trust in the book. Quinn is the main woman in the book and you can just imagine how you would feel if you were in her shoes. Absolutely, brilliant writing. I highly recommend this book.
Held me from the first sentence. Looking forward to the remainder of this new series.
What a great read!
Tracy Cooper-Posey has a way of grabbing your attention from the first few lines and holding it. I was completely emersed in the story line and characters, following Quinn into a thrilling new world of intrigue and adventure. I took every step with her into some harrowing situations, watching with fascination at her ability to maintain her composure in meeting each thrilling challenge.
Personally this is what I’ve come to expect from this author and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Quinn and the trouble she will likely find herself in.
I highly recommend this book, but beware, you’re likely to become a TCP addict like me!
In Hunting The Kobra we are introduced to Quinn and Denis. Things for them are going great until tragedy strikes. Quinn is left with many unanswered questions. A person from Denis past appears and wants answers also. Due to certain circumstances Quinn is forced to work with Elijah Aslan. Who can she trust? Is anything as it seems? This book was full of mystery and suspense. I highly recommend you read this book.
What an awesome read! This novel has so many elements that satisfy my appetite for a good story: characters, action and plot that are memorable, for all the right reasons, long after the novel is finished!
I have so much respect for an author such as Tracy Cooper-Posey who can navigate the twists, turns and mysteries of an intrigue like this while keeping me completely spellbound and on the edge of my seat to know what happens in the love interest side of the story too! I'm in it for the romance (every time) but I still fully enjoyed all aspects of the plot, intrigue and action of the novel.
I was so compelled to find out what happened in this enthralling story that I rushed through reading it! With so many books to read, I don't usually re-read novels but I was delighted to do so with this one: I went right back to the start and read at a more leisurely pace to better take in the details and enjoy the more subtle aspects of the character interactions.
The characters of the novel are complex and interesting, but I found the female lead in particular to be a spectator in her hidden depths, capacity for growth and strength of resolve and resourcefulness. I don't want to give too much away but I enjoyed the brooding and mysterious male lead too!
I have read and loved Tracy Cooper-Posey's books in the Romantic Thrillers Collection, and just like those novels, Hunting the Kobra is a well-written and engrossing intrigue with enough thread of a love interest through it to keep me wrapt in the book right until the last line!
I'm looking forward to reading more books about the hunt for the Kobra as I understand from the blurb that this is book one in the new series called Project Kobra.
When a building collapse kills her boyfriend Quinn is thrown into a world she did not know existed. A mysterious man from her boyfriend’s past comes to pay respects and the CIA gets involved. When Quinn is targeted it becomes apparent that events were not accidental. Recovering in Austria she is surrounded by people she cannot trust;
Quinn recalled the empathetic and gentle man who had sat on Denis’s desk and given her the only comfort anyone had provided, yesterday. In twenty minutes, Aslan had propped her up and handed her a way to cope with day. That man was an agent provocateur supplying chemical weapons to America’s enemies?
Quinn must become a different person to survive her change in circumstance. A brilliant presentation of each character, revelation of their background and the ultimate resolution which will keep you guessing to the very end!! Amazing read!!
Hunting the Kobra is the first book in the very new series Project Kobra from Tracy Cooper-Posey. I'm not a huge fan of thrillers, and it'd been a while since I've read one, but coming from Tracy I decided to give it a go aaand it delivers just fine. It is a delicious slow burn. I also love how very well researched it is, it seems so realistic to me. Can't wait for the next one in the series!
This was an excellent thriller. It kept me guessing for long enough, especially when it came to trying to figure out which side Noah was or wasn't on.
This on kept me guessing for as long as Quinn was confussed I suspect. A really well thought out thriller & I can not wait for the follow up. Especially if it's to be done along the same lines.
Great book Tracy, thank you for that.
If you like John LeCarre, Lee Childs and John Grisham, you will absolutely love this book. It is a suspense espionage thriller with a bit of romance thrown into the mix. It far surpassed my highest expectations.
I had forgotten just how much I love this genre until reading Hunting The Kobra. The twists. The turns. Everything and everyone is just not what they seem to be. I cannot wait for the next book to see what surprises Tracy has in store for us.
This one has you guessing from beginning to end, though I was always rooting for Noah, an intriguing read with lots to keep you guessing
