The Grimoré Trilogy is Finished.

I’ve heard of authors being bitten by books before, but I think this is the first time it’s happened to me. This last week I basically went into full hybernation mode, and ignored blogs, emails from editors and readers, and calls from lovers and friends in order to finish the last novella of a three-book erotic urban fantasy series that has settled into my head and wouldn’t let go.

I’ve had the occassional book where the odd character would come alive and start telling me how the book should go, before, and I’ve always been delighted when that happened. But for this series, a handful of the characters simply wouldn’t shut up. They staged a coup, and last week I virtually stopped eating and drinking, and going to the gym, in order to extend my time in my office so I could stay with them and play.

I even stayed in and wrote today, Saturday, usually a never-never, in order to finish the final novella.

It’s done now, and the first two are out with beta readers. Next week I’ll edit and turn the series into my editor.

The titles of the books are, in order:

A Son of Morning and A Son of Night
The Doorway To Dawn
The Sundered Trinity

Keep in mind that Ellora’s Cave may yet change the titles of either the series (The Grimoré Trinities) or the novellas.

In a few days, when I’ve recovered, I’ll post a summary of the series.
