RomantiCon Pictures – Psychedelic Freakout
And a good time was had by all. For a while I wondered if we’d get kicked out of the bar because of the “no shirt, no shoes” rule, but the bar staff seem to be going with the flow…
This is me and my husband, Mark, better known as “Mr. Intensity” in professional wrestling circles. He really got into the evening (actually, the whole convention so far), as you can see, even down to the bare feet and bell bottoms. My hair today has a semi-permanent part in the middle. Very annoying! And boy, did my boots get comments!
And from the hospitality evening on Thursday:
From left to right: Me, Mark, Rena Marks – Ellora’s Cave author, Will Duke – Ellora’s Cave Cover Art Manager (who I made sure knows I think walks on water, and Valerie Pucinski – Ellora’s Cave PR Manager, who in part does photo shoots with the EC cover models and general takes care of them. She has the most wicked sense of humour! You have to, I think, to handle those guys. :)
I’m taking a breather here between the Saturday PM panels, and slipping into my sequins and high heels for the evening formal dinner and presentations. I’m also going to get a photo with the models tonight, too, to update the one I had taken in Houston a few years ago, that I have posted elsewhere on this blog. Time to go turn into Cinderella…

- RomantiCon off to a Flying Start We managed to rock the hotel last night, the small handful of travelers and conventioners who checked in early. Hi Tracy!
Love the pink boots! Looks like you’re having a wonderful time, enjoy the rest of Romanticon.
You look amazing Tracy, the outfit is perfect.
Thanks Cathy, Susan: What you can’t see in the photo is the very red eyes! Sleep deprivation is a by-product 95% of the people here are all suffering from.
I’m just back from the bookfair as I type this, with my shoes off, and my hair down, and Mark is asleep on the bed behind me. It’s 4pm, and we’re trying to grab some downtime before the pizza party tonight…. I have an exploding email inbox, so I don’t think I’m going to get any shut eye until very late tonight, somehow. Worth it? Absolutely!
T, looks like you had a blast. Can’t wait to see the rest of the pics! :)
I Loved your outfit and boots. you and Hubby make a very HIP couple!!!
Thanks Connie! Those boots got so many comments! And Mark had a ball, but the glasses were not very good for seeing details out of! ~grin~ He even went barefoot just to keep it as authentic as possible, but he was just waiting for the bar staff to kick him out of the bar, or ask him to put shoes on. :)
You looked fabulous! The boots just ROCKED!~
Regina!
I finally got you on my blog! Thanks, honey.
