poke-go

Did you get caught up in the craze, too?  Although, it seems that Pokemon Go might be one of those instant-instantly-dead fads, if reports are to be believed.

Not quite every country in the world went Pokemon hunting, either.   In Belgium, a high school teacher was inspired by Pokemon Go to build another virtual hunting game called Chasseurs de livres (“Book hunters”).  Yes, they’re hunting books.  Not via a handheld device, though.  They have a Facebook page where the game is coordinated and scored.

Over 40,000 Belgians signed up for the book hunting game in the first month.

Which is interesting, from my perspective.  I sell more books in Belgium than in any other non-English speaking country.  It seems Belgium is a very literature-oriented country!

Cheers,
