And because I just can’t help myself, did you know the very first Christmas was celebrated in Rome in A.D. 336? The Roman Saturnalia was for centuries the feast of choice around this time of year, but as Christianity spread across Europe, the Saturnalia fell out of favour and the celebration of the birth of Christ took precedence.
