I Love Romantic Suspense!
I just love romantic suspense. I love reading it and I love writing it.
I feel like I’ve been talking about and reading contemporary romance and paranormal romance for months. I love that stuff — I do. But I guess my heart really belongs, in the end, to romantic suspense.
In the last couple of weeks, when I haven’t been touring Lucifer’s Lover or Solstice Surrender, I’ve been squeezing in the plotting and writing of the third book in my Guns ‘n Lovers series. Actually, that’s the official name. If you’ve been around me for long, you’ll recognize the more informal name; the Vistaria series from Ellora’s Cave.
I’m finally getting to write the book that comes after Red Leopard and Black Heart. It’s called Blue Knight, and is the next in the continuing saga of Nick and Duardo and their friends, family and lovers and their struggle to win back their country from the insurrectos.
And I just love it writing romantic suspense once more. I love being able to put the hero and heroine through hell together, and really testing their commitment to each other, and their love. There’s nothing like romantic suspense for cranking up the romantic tension, the conflict, and for keeping the hero and heroine apart. For really heaping on the jeopardy. And where else but in romantic suspense can you have a hero really be a hero and rescue the heroine in the nick of time?
Romantic suspense…ya gotta love it.
What’s some favourite romantic suspense series of yours?

I love reading romantic suspense, my recent favorite series is the Stolen series by Elisabeth Naughton. Besides the great storytelling, the trilogy was published pretty much back to back, which was such a great bonus.
