Outline

Winter, a professional thief who can manipulate others’ biologies by touch, accidentally “healed” her former partner—and former vampire—Sebastian, whom she secretly loves. Her healing created a symbiot pairing between them that neither of them wants.

Nathanial, a sexy thousand-year-old vampire and Sebastian’s ex-lover, talks Sebastian and Winter into stealing evidence that will expose all vampires to the world. But Nathanial is a puppet-master who doesn’t believe in falling in love with humans, leaving Winter unsure of his real feelings for her once he seduces her, or how he feels about Sebastian, the former vampire-now-human whose life he has turned upside down once more.

But the evidence they steal is hot property. The future of all vampires is on the line and others will stop at nothing to get it, leaving Sebastian, Winter and Nathanial with no allies but each other. They must trust each other to survive. Only…can they?

WARNING:  This book contains two hot, sexy alpha heroes, frequent, explicit and frank sex scenes and sexual language.
It includes heart-stopping sexual scenes between the aforementioned sexy heroes, ménage scenes,
anal sex and the use of sex toys.  Don’t proceed beyond this point if hot love scenes offend you.
No vampires were harmed in the making of this novel.

Reviews

What I loved most about Blood Knot is that you get to see the many different facets of these three characters. While it is mainly from Winter’s point of view, the vigorous feelings each character has for the other two comes through loud and clear in this beautiful tale. Not only do you get to read a brilliantly written story, but Ms. Cooper-Posey gives us a novel full of many different elements that seem to add hard-edged curves, unbelievable circumstances, and overwhelming odds to the book. The way Winter interacts with Nathanial and Sebastian gives the reader a real chance to see beyond a tale of sex with two men and see the many complications that arise from such a relationship. The ending has me hoping that there will be more enchanting tales that include the other enigmatic vampires that we meet toward the end and who is affected by the outcome of the characters’ mission.

(Part of a much longer review. See link at bottom to jump to full review)

Wow. I have to admit I’m really blown away by the whole experience of this book and just how much I enjoyed it. When I was first approached by Tracy to review her book, I was really hesitant because I’d never read a M/M/F romance before. I wasn’t sure whether I was ready for something like that but most of all, whether I would like it. I’m all for loving a woman enjoying a hunky “man”wich but how would I feel when those two gorgeous men turn their attentions on each other. Part of what made this such a remarkable experience for me was the way Tracy was able to answer my questions. I was able to talk with her honestly about how I felt and I really appreciated the way she was able to ease my concerns. I honestly don’t think I would’ve tried the book if she hadn’t have so readily helped me understand a few things and what a shame – because this book was HOT! There was so much intensity between the characters, the chemistry between Winter, Nial and Sebastian left me panting in places because they were just so heavily entrenched in how they felt about each other. BLOOD KNOT was the perfect book to introduce me to the male/male/female genre and it was an amazing mixture of sensuality, power and emotions – just the way I love my romance. From beginning to end, I soaked this new experience in and it left me craving more.

I really did enjoy this story. It was just so easy to get swept up in it all and I loved how well the author crafted her story. I went expecting squick and I emerged with a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and my heart racing because I’d become completely engaged with the characters. Tracy eases her readers into the story. She gets you used to each characters, introducing their hearts so that you begin to develop a connection. She then builds upon it, entwining Winter, Nial and Sebastian until you don’t know where one begins and another ends. You’re so caught up in each moment, watching what will happen next that the story flows by and nothing seems out of place. I loved that about the story – I wasn’t reading along and then splat! I hit a wall. I read and read and then came to end thinking “That’s it? I want more… please tell me there’s more”.

I couldn’t get enough of the characters. Each of them had their own unique personality, with their own quirks and baggage that made them very entertaining to read.

I’d definitely recommend this book to those interested in trying this genre. This is a great introduction book because Tracy isn’t a “slap you in the face” kind of author. She takes an interesting storyline and weaves into it characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. On top of that, she smothers everything with a heady dose of sensuality so that you’re left feeling all warm and gooey. I can’t stress the sensuality enough. I am a HUGE supporter of sensuality in the romance I read. Everyone loves a good fun rutting, the mechanics of it all, but the magic comes from it meaning something. From the connections between two people, and in this case three, going on a journey together and finding love along the way *sigh* This book definitely satisfied all my romantic tendencies so give it a try. Happy reading!

This is an erotically told tale of three lost lovers and what happens when they find each other and accept life, such as it is. I lost a little of my heart to each of these characters, Winter for her horrible childhood, Bastian for his loneliness, and Nial for what life as forced him to become. The most dynamic character of the story is Nial, master vampire, over thousand years old, but there’s still an innocence to him, even as the master lover. He’s both savior and saved, but each character holds the story together in their own way. …If you’re a fan of hot urban fantasy (and I do mean oven mit HOT), pick up Blood Knot, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re a lover of paranormal romances sizzling with erotic love, let this story carry you away. If you’re faint of heart, then be warned, there is graphic language interspersed throughout the story. If you find this offensive, read something tamer, but you’ll be missing out. Tracy Cooper-Posey is a new author for me, but I’ll be trying something else from her backlist and looking forward to the continuation of Winter, Bastian, and Nial’s love story. I don’t read many menages, but this one carried me away, I had trouble putting it down. I hope you give it a try, and let it carry you away too. Five stars for me.

This is one of those hidden gems in the self-publishing world. I haven’t read a better love story than Blood Knot in a very long time.

All three characters are totally unique, not just individuals within the story but as paranormals as well. Blood Knot is not your typical vampire novel or even a typical ménage. The author makes the characters very real. As their unique connection to one another grows and changes, you see them for the individuals they really are. Winter isn’t what most people would define as human. Sebastian isn’t a vampire anymore, but he’s not quite human either. Nathanial comes into their lives for his own reasons but he ties them together in ways you’ll never expect. It would take me a book just to say all I like about these wonderful characters, but I would give too much away and I want you to read the book and enjoy it as much as I did. I have read other books by Tracy Cooper-Posey but I think this one is her best so far. Don’t miss it.

I am shocked at the number of amazing authors out there that I haven’t heard of! I was introduced to this incredible author via a free Kindle book and I couldn’t be happier! I love the characters, the sex scenes were super steamy, there was plenty of action and even some latin and gaelic thrown in for fun. I am going to buy the next book in the series and after that see what else this author has written and spend some time on her other books! Definitely a new fan!

This was a very interesting read. I’ve only read 1 other book where m/m/f love scenes were involved and I can definitely say that this one trumps it big time! Hot doesn’t even begin to cover it! The premise of the story was really interesting to me because it involved two male vampires and one female who is supposedly human who are best known throughout the vampire world for their skills in stealing.

Hells bells and then some. Blood Knot is an exceptionally hot read and not your typical ‘love triangle’. There’s sex and lots and lots and LOTS of it, but at the same time, the storyline is fascinating and the love laced throughout breaks all molds. Typically, when it comes to love triangles, I tend to lean towards one man or the other but not this time. As the story unfolded, I drifted back and forth between the two men and who I adored the most and then it dawned on me, the author allowed me to not have to choose and so I didn’t. I fell for both leads and where there’s ones weakness, comes the others strength.

Blood Knot gives the reader a kick ass heroine, two exceptionally hot alpha male leads, action, love, betrayal and WHITE HOT steam scenes that will leave you breathless. I look forward to reading much more from this author.

The character development was amazing. Nial, Sebastian, and Winter are very dimensional. The pasts they have left behind, the roads they have taken in life, and the decisions that has lead them to this moment has shaped them into very real characters. They have incredible chemistry that allows them to make perfect sense as lovers. I was also shocked at the amount of sexual tension…This trio burns the pages up! … Readers are given action, intrigue, a love story, and a bit of mystery when it comes to Winter and her abilities. I definitely enjoyed this one and I’m looking forward to Blood Stone.

Blood Knot was very exciting from beginning to end.  Whether the action was in the bedroom or on the job, Blood Knot will have your blood heated and pounding.  Your heart will go out to Winter, Bastian and Nial as they struggle to come to grips with their unchanging past and their ever-changing present.  You will not want to put it down as Winter, Bastian and Nial become friends of ours and each other.  As the relationship deepens within the pages of Blood Knot so too does the reader’s desire grow and deepen to experience the same resolution that Winter, Bastian and Nial need.  Tracy Cooper-Posey knows how to please her readers.  We will all need more from the talented pen of Tracy Cooper-Posey after experiencing Blood Knot.

AN AMAZING SURPRISE – MENAGE DONE RIGHT

I didn’t have high expectations for this book, even with the great reviews it had already received, because I am a rather harsh critic when dealing with menage stories. I am almost always disappointed because only a few authors seem to get this genre “right”.

What Tracy Cooper-Posey gets right:

1) Realistic and thoughtful character development (who would have thought you would find characters realistic when dealing with vampires?)
2) Unbelievably HOT mind-blowing sex. No dialogue that feels forced or recycled from other books. Inventive and scorching love scenes.
3) A touching, romantic story. Jealousy, alpha males, a love triangle, angst, heartache, love – every base is covered.
4) Intriguing plot and fresh vamp world to explore. I can only hope and pray that Tracy plans on continuing and making this a series of some kind, because I would love to read more about this world she created.

I honestly do not have anything bad to say about this book. The writing was superb, the story had a great flow and never dragged, the book was a good length story, and the price was more than reasonable for a book of this caliber.

I have only written reviews for books that I am willing to give 5 stars to (and as many books as I read, that isn’t many!)
I whole-heartedly recommend this book and give it a full 5 stars.

Blood Knot is a sexy, dark, intense and impossible book to put down! The author’s style of writing is smooth, brilliant and addicting and the story is worth reading for that alone. Filled with adventure and heated sensuality, alive with emotions and populated with intriguing characters I found myself on the edge trying to anticipate what was next for Winter, Sebastian and Nathanial. The danger and obstacles they have to work to overcome makes for some fantastic reading.

Author Tracy Cooper-Posey does a superb job of luring the reader into this erotically delicious story taking the time to slowly and deliberately builds the relationship between Winter and Nathanial who both already have sexual ties to Sebastian which works to form a tight and lasting bond between the three lovers. The complexity of the characters as well as the ménage relationship is interesting and appealing while the passion and dangerous desire they feel makes for some explosive action. Winter, Sebastian and Nathanial are all keeping secrets that play out with some interesting, dangerous and action filled results. The love scenes are hot and plentiful and feature some searing sex and raw emotions. The ending is purely delightful and definitely left me craving for more! I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this new series from the very talented Tracy Cooper-Posey.

This is a book that you don’t want to miss and one you will adore reading again and again for the shear pleasure of it.

This story is HOT. The plot is fast-moving and the characters fascinating. Vampires are my favorite paranormal beings, and Tracy Cooper-Posey easily lures you into a believable world where vampires live just on the fringes of society – almost, but not quite accepted. Winter is a great character – and I loved Nathanial from the start. They have to learn to trust each other in order to save their world – but it’s not easy for Winter to trust – her past is so painful she can only trust herself. Meanwhile, she has to rely completely on Sebastian, a former lover, former partner, and, because of a quirk from her talent for healing – they are now totally dependent on each other to live. Not something either of them wants! The three are drawn together and…well, let’s just say things heat up to incandescent! Don’t miss this great read!

This was my first book from this author, and it won’t be the last. Ms. Cooper-Posey weaves an intricate tale with suspense, and mystery, and takes us jet-setting to exotic locations. Her attention to detail makes the story come alive. I was soon caught up in the characters’ lives, and rooting for them all to pay attention to what they really wanted. Love, of course! … There’s something for everyone to enjoy in this story.

Somehow, this three ring circus of emotions comes together and BANG! a spectacular show is presented. This book will leave you worn out. It will drain you of emotions you didn’t even know you were capable of feeling. I’m sure you will even feel a little confused after this reading book…confused as to how on earth just reading those words made you pant a little, or moan a little, or . . . yeah, you get the picture. This book may not be for everyone. If you have an open mind, please jump on in… the water is just fine (until you are no longer alone it, then it gets HOT!).

Chapter One

HE GOT THE drop on her, but he was a vampire so he had the advantage of speed and stealth. Too, he was only the second vampire Winter had ever met. Just like Sebastian, this one posed as human, but Singapore had made Winter smarter in one foul night.

He came up behind her as she was stuffing the last of the foil food packages into her backpack. Winter was working on the bench in her shed, thinking about trails and weather, and the weight of her pack. She had let her guard down, which was a mistake. Just because Helena, Montana, wasn’t New York, New York and she was technically retired didn’t mean a thing to others in the thievery business.

The floor of the shed was sand, with liberal splashes of old machine oil that gave the shed a musty aroma that always made Winter think of men swearing as they worked on their vehicles, stripped to the waist and kicking the tires for good measure. She liked working in the shed. It made her feel industrious.

The oil and dirt also made the vampire’s approach silent. Instead, a change in the quality of the early morning light filtering through the open double doors, glinting off the side of her black Ford Explorer sitting silently to her right had tipped her off. In her peripheral vision something had flickered—

She whirled, snatching the lug wrench up from the bench and kept turning.

The wrench slammed into the man’s forearm. He’d been reaching for her. She saw startling blue eyes. Short black unruly hair. That was all she had time to register. He cried out in surprise and his arm was forced upwards by the impact of the wrench.

Winter ducked under his arm and took off, heading for the open doors of the shed. It meant moving past his left hand, but she had surprised him. He might not react fast enough.

His hand snapped out, curling around her arm and bringing her to a halt with enough strength that she was yanked almost completely off her feet. Her breath pushed out of her.

Fear sizzled through her as he slammed her up against the Explorer. The strength in him! And she couldn’t help the comparison, even though she hated herself for even thinking of it: Sebastian had never shown such strength. Had never hinted of such power, before.

Bitterness circled through her as she looked at the man’s—the vampire’s—face. Sebastian had been careful never to reveal his full power, she realized.

“You’re a vampire,” she concluded.

“Very good,” he said, stepping away from her. He had an accent, a strange one. She thought it might be Eastern European, but it had eroded so badly from either years or other cultures she would have to hear him speak further to know for sure.

He held out his hand. “If you don’t mind? I did not come here to fight.”

Winter shook her head. “I’ll keep the wrench for now.”

He smiled in a way that made it look like he was trying not to laugh. “As you wish.” He shrugged. The shrug seemed to say, Keep your toy. Don’t keep it. It is irrelevant to me.

Winter looked down at the wrench. She had hit him with enough force to break a normal man’s arm and he had merely brushed her aside. With a grimace, she tossed the wrench onto the bench. She was going to have to rely on his word that he wasn’t here to fight.

“Thank you,” he said. He took another step back, putting a good two feet of space between them.

“I didn’t put the wrench down for you.” Winter wasn’t fooled by the space. Once—just once—she had seen how fast Sebastian could react when he needed to. This man could close the space at a speed Winter would be hard put to follow with her naked eyes. This vampire.

He spread his hands in an amiable gesture. “You did not put the wrench down for me, but I thank you anyway.” He dropped his hands to his sides once more. It was an easy, comfortable stance. Sebastian would have shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans by now. This one wasn’t wearing jeans, though. He had on what looked like a pair of dark grey or black suede trousers and a black leather jacket. That was all the detail she could make out in the low light of the shed.

“I did not mean to startle you,” he continued. “You were concentrating on your task. I called your name, but you didn’t respond.”

“You lie,” she said flatly. “The dog would have warned me if your approach had been so open.”

“The dog?” He smiled. “I see that Sebastian was not entirely forthcoming about our nature.” He turned his head to look toward the open shed door.

After a few seconds, her big German Shepherd, Prince, trotted inside and over to the man. He sat in front of him and looked up with his tongue hanging out.

The man patted Prince’s head.

Winter stared at the massive dog, who had an uneven temper and had snapped at her once or twice. Now Prince licked the vampire’s hand and gave little whines.

“His name is Steffen, by the way, not Prince.”

Winter gave a short laugh. “Says who?”

“He does.” The man shrugged again. “These are pack creatures. You need to be a master to him, not a mother. That is why he gets confused at times and snaps.” He glanced at the door. “Go now,” he told the dog.

Prince—Steffen—turned and trotted out of the shed again, his bushy tail wagging.

“Who are you?” she demanded. “And what do you want?”

He straightened, brushing dog hairs from his hand. “Perhaps we should discuss this inside.”

“Too dirty for you here?” she asked sweetly. She shook her head. “You’re not stepping foot inside my house.” She let her smile widen. “We can sit outside if you like. I have a table and chairs on the front deck.”

He glanced out at the steadily brightening day. “No, thank you.” He brought his gaze back to her. His eyes seemed luminous and she wondered if it was just a trick of the light. “But you already knew I would refuse, didn’t you? A fact that Sebastian has chosen to impart, then.”

“Nope.” She crossed her arms. “But I’ve done a lot of thinking lately, digging through past events. Sebastian avoided direct sunlight when he could. He could walk around in sunlight and didn’t explode or go up in flame, but he wasn’t happy about it.” Annoyance touched her. Why was she spilling her guts to this person, anyway? “You know Sebastian. You know him well enough to know his…” She hesitated. She could barely find an appropriate word for the precise relationship between them. “You know Sebastian well enough to know Sebastian might have revealed his true nature to me. I can think of very few people in Sebastian’s life he might give that information to. And only one of them is a vampire.”

The man stood watching her, his expression unmoving. He wasn’t going to help her by offering any confirmation, or speaking the uncomfortable truth for her.

Winter gripped her elbows with her fingers, squeezing tightly. Her heart was racing. Too much adrenaline was pumping through her system. She reached inside, and counteracted the adrenaline with endorphins. She massaged her heart and brought her blood pressure back down to more normal levels. If this vampire was who she now suspected him to be, she was going to need every advantage, both physical and mental, she could muster to deal with him. Calm returned.

“If you are who I think you are,” Winter told him, “then I do not understand why you are here.”

“Who am I?” he asked, sounding curious.

“Nathanial.”

He nodded.

She let out her breath. It sounded a little shaky, the last dregs of the adrenaline still affecting her. “I don’t know why you are here, Nathanial. But then, I’ve learned I know nothing about anything, these last months.”

Have you ever noticed that no one ever reads the footnotes?  It's just like the credits in a movie. No one reads those either. But you can learn all sorts of interesting and weird trivia from reading footers.
For example, if you've read this far, you've now discovered that you can hit me up for a sample chapter of one of my books.  Any book, any chapter.  Even the last one. (Weirdo.)
I don't have to tell you how to contact me because you were clever enough to read the footer, and my contact link is right here in the footer.
Good for you.  Mention "Star Wars."  If you know why, you get extra credit!
